Bravida + Omgi - This is how modern comfort was integrated into the nature experience

Creating a sustainable and comfortable living space in the middle of nature requires innovation and new thinking. Bravida is a leader in electrotechnical solutions and, together with Omgi and Snøhetta, has managed to create a comfortable place in nature with smart electrical solutions. We have spoken to Magnus Gillesen Hogsnes about how they have worked on the project.

- The experience of mixing sustainability with a comfortable everyday life - in the middle of nature, is something we have really been looking for in this project.

Magnus is a branch manager at Bravida and has been closely involved in the process of developing the OMGI concept from an early stage.

‍

- Omgi has really shown incredible dedication in its work to experiment and adopt new, innovative solutions. I have to say, their dedication to getting to this has been really inspiring and made the whole process really exciting for us

He goes on to say that he has always been keen to choose the latest in every type of technology.

- From control panels with energy management for each room to lighting systems that adapt to the natural lighting from the large windows and facilitate a more natural experience, we have been committed to bringing in the very best solutions.

In recent years, micro-houses and compact holiday homes have become a significant movement, also in Norway. Hogsnes nevertheless believes that the micro-houses from Omgi are in a special class when it comes to qualities.

- Both Omgi and Snøhetta have been very concerned about user experience in this project. The vision has always been that “everything will work out” when you come in here. That is why we have worked for a long time to make the solutions as innovative as possible.

What do you think the micro-homes and compact holiday homes of the future will look like?

- Furthermore, we see an exciting development for Omgi and the micro-housing wave. Our vision includes more use of renewable energy sources and smart technologies to further enhance the experience. We want to integrate solutions that not only minimize our footprint, but also reinforce our connection to nature. The exploration of smart systems and innovative technologies will continue, with a focus on creating sustainable and comfortable living spaces that meet the needs and expectations of the future.
